Central Therapy athlete, Leigh Wood, has claimed the British Featherweight Title with a devastating knock out victory!
Leigh was on form on the night securing a 9th round stoppage to bring the title back to Nottingham. He skillset was just too much for the brave Reece Mould. Leigh floored his opponent three times on the way to victory. He will now be looking forward to pushing on to some big fights, as he continues his ascent of the featherweight division.
The Nottingham fighter has been using Central Therapy for sports therapy and massage for a number of years. We are proud to have supported him throughout his fight camp with recovery sports massage as he managed a heavy training load, and specific interventions to ensure that no training niggles developed into injury.
We look forward to continuing to work with Central Therapy athlete Leigh and play our small part in his continued success. 2021 could bring about some big fights, and with a bit of luck they may be able to play out in front of an audience! An eventual culmination of headlining a fight night at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground would be the pinnacle of a great career and a dream achieved!
