Leigh Wood. Professional Boxer. Current Commonwealth & Former European Featherweight Champion.
Leigh Wood is a professional boxer from Nottingham. He currently holds the Commonwealth featherweight title, previously also holding the European title.
Leigh has been working with Central Therapy for a number of years. I had approached him with an offer of sponsorship for his sports therapy services. As a big boxing fan I was really interested in helping Leigh pursue his boxing ambitions by providing him with access to sports therapy treatment. His unrelenting training schedule means that recovery is a key element of pushing on to the highest level.
Leigh was a long serving member of the famous Ingle gym. A gym that has seen boxers such as Prince Naseem Hamed, Junior Witter, Johnny Nelson and Kell Brook come through the ranks. He is now boxing under the management of Dave Coldwell. It is during his time with Dave that, within a year, Leigh was able to fight for, and win, the Commonwealth and European titles.
